After falling off my bike, hitting my sternum with the handlebar and slicing my calf with the pedal and a whole leg of bruises, I got back on the bike this weekend. Dima was able to curb his adventurousness and explore the Greenbelt with me instead of Kanata Lakes or any of the Camp Fortune downhills. Even though we were doing trails I knew and terrain I felt comfortable with I was still incredibly scared the first time I got back into the saddle. I'm happy I did though, otherwise we wouldn't have explored Lime Kiln or gone through a rarely used trail and all it's barriers to get to the Rock Quarry.
I have a very busy week ahead me. Work, second work, Dima, my parents.. but I still want to get a lot of biking in. I like mountain biking, but I'm not too good at it yet and I need a lot of practice and that means time on the trail building skill and building endurance.
