Cocada, smothered in condensed milk and shredded coconut.
After almost a day of flights and a suitcase that arrived in Rio de Janeiro before I did, we arrived. We are staying in a hotel close to the beaches of Copacabana - we can even see Cristo Redentor from our hotel room.
I've already indulged in a few Brazilian treats including Cocada from a street vendor. For 2.50 Real (~$1.25 CAD) the vendors cuts a slice of the glutinous milk, sugar, yolk and coconut cake pours slathers a good heaping of evaporated milk on top and tops it off with shredded coconut. Delicious!
