Months ago I responded to The Food List Challenge questionnaire on Facebook so I could compare my school with other friends who had tried. It lists 100 foods and you have to check off what you've tried and leave the ones you haven't blank. With items like 'caviar,' 'churros,' and 'Pocky' listed I scored quite high but missed on anything insect related or some of the more exotic meats like snake. Well, thanks to a jungle trek and our guide pulling larvae out of scavenged nuts I can say I've eaten something buggy. It wasn't alive though, toasted over a nice fire - it had a pleasant crunch and a wonderful nutty flavour.
