It hurts me that this is such a horrible picture. What it shows is one of the most indulgent meals I've ever ordered and attempted to eat - a roasted pigs head with a lobster jumping out of its mouth and a side of foie gras. It was eaten at Montreal's Au Pied de Cochon and the boyfriend and I did our very best to scrape every morsel of meat from that head, much to the disgust of neighboring tables.
Today I'm headed back to Montreal to try Au Pied de Cochon again only this time the Cabane à Sucre version with apples! I'll try not to make you too jealous on Twitter.
Anyway, I was quite busy this week. I cranked out three blog posts (two about beer) and a recipe for the Centretown BUZZ (also about beer):
- Saturday is for Soccer - I don't JUST drink beer and eat fatty food!
- A Pint and a Tour at Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery - One of the best brewery tours I've ever been on although I didn't actually see any flying monkeys.
- Pumpkin Beer Bread @ Centretown BUZZ - If you can spare a bottle of pumpkin beer this is an easy bread recipe and gets you in the mood for fall.
- The Beer with the Muskoka Chair - I tour the Muskoka Brewery Tap Room and fall in love with their Harvest Ale.
