 Think you know your beer? Well you can put your knowledge to the test at the upcoming beer trivia events!

 

BEER GEEK TRIVIA Monday February 29th

 

7:30 pm - Brothers Beer Bistro

 

Think you know beer? Kichesippi is proud to host Beer Geek Trivia! A night of malt, hops, water, and yeast to challenge your brain and satiate your thirst! No registration is required. Just show up, drink some delicious beers provided by the awesome staff at Brothers Beer Bistro, and put your beer beer knowledge to the test. Admission is free!

 

Pints of our new Staff Pick, Dartmouth Common will be on special for $5

 

TRIVIAL BEER-SUIT Friday February 26th

 

6:00 p.m - 9:30 p.m - Ottawa City Hall

 

Assemble your trivia dream team and register online to go head to head against your uber-talented neighbors – all for a good cause!

 

Craft your team identity. Dress in costume; write a team song, your efforts will be rewarded.

 

Choose from a host of craft beers brewed in Ontario and Quebec, bid on silent auction items, and enter to win sweet raffle prizes.

BEER EDUCATION: Beer Sessions at Union 613

Union 613 has changed up their beer sessions - now showcasing specific breweries and often hosting the brewers themselves! Sessions are from 6pm - 8pm and include beer and eats ! Cost is $50 per person.

BEER FESTIVALS: Festibiere d'Hiver and Winter Brewfest Return This Winter

Winter can be cold and unforgiving, so what better way to warm up than with a few friends and some local craft beer!! Here is some info on the 2 beer fests coming up in the area! 

Festibiere D'Hiver - January 29th & 30th - The Canadian Museum of History - Gatineau

Festibiere D'Hiver returns this year with over 100 beers to sample, including Beau's All Natural Brewing!  This 2 day fest is a great way to sample  beer from Quebec and Ontario. 

Here's some of the info you'll need to know about the fest: 

• Tickets: $15 in advance, $22.50 2 days prior to the event, $25 at the door (entrance fee includes a festival glass)
• Event is cash only! (there will be 4 ATMs on site)
• Parking: $6 on site and ample street parking in the area
• Public Transit: If you show your proof of purchase, your STO ride is free!
• Beer samples: 4oz per sample (samples range from 2-6oz depending on the beer) 
• Coat check: There is a coat check for $2

Winter Brewfest - February 12th & 13th - Lansdowne Park - Ottawa 

Winter Brewfest returns for its second year this year with  over 35 local and Quebec breweries. 

Here is some information you'll want to know about the fest: 

• The fest is once again broken into sessions as follows

Session #1: Friday February 12th 2pm to 7pm
Session #2: Friday February 12th 8pm to 1am
Session #3: Saturday February 13th 2pm to 7pm
Session #4: Saturday February 13th 8pm to 1am

• Event is Cash Only! ATMs will be available on site. 
• Tickets: (includes festival glass) $15 for Early Bird, $20 for presale and $25 regular price
• Tokens: $10 for 10 tokens
• Beer samples: 4oz per sample (samples range from 2-6oz depending on the beer) 
• Transit: Your proof of purchase will get you a free ride on OC Transpo!
